In the heart of Zurich at Löwenstrasse 17 is the modern school building of the Academic Gateway. The central location is chosen with care, because it is easy to reach from all directions. Zurich main station is only 500 meters away, four other important train stations are more or less nearby: Zurich Enge, Wiedikon, Selnau and Stadeln.

At Academic Gateway, students learn exclusively in every way. The classrooms are aesthetically pleasing and technically excellent.

Sound optimization, first-class sound system, induction loop for the automatic connection of hearing aids, flat screens, projectors, sockets at the seats and integrated USB ports are just a few of the many equipment highlights of our modern school building. Since August 2021, Academic Gateway has been teaching in the first-class campus – just 500 meters from Zurich HB.

Erstklassig ausgestatteter Vorlesungssaal mit einer Kapazität von über über 70 Sitzplätzen – mitunter schalloptimiert und mit Induktionsschlaufe zur automatischen Verbindung von Hörgeräten.

Naturwissenschaftliches Zimmer – der Laborraum erfüllt die höchsten Ansprüche und ist einzeln oder in Kombination mit anderen Zimmern buchbar.

Optimale Lichtverhältnisse für den optimalen Unterricht. Die Schulräume lassen sich auf Wunsch mit Notebooks ausstatten – eine spezifische Bestuhlung ist ebenso möglich wie Live-Übertragung oder Aufzeichnung des Unterrichts.

Die Bibliothek mit nicht erdrückender, aber beeindruckender Marmor-Wand – ein beliebter Rückzugsort, um in Ruhe und kultivierter Atmosphäre zu lernen.

Elegant und dezent – das Sitzungszimmer ist auch für externe Meetings beliebt und lässt sich auf Stundenbasis mieten.

Schön arrangiertes, einladend gestaltetes Foyer – willkommen bei Academic Gateway, dem modernsten Schulhaus der Schweiz.

Gehobener Standard – sowohl Schliessfächer als auch Zugang zu den Schulzimmern ist nur über ein Badge-System möglich. Alle Lernenden erhalten individuell programmierte Badges.

Empfang und Sekretariat in einem – der persönliche Kontakt mit Mitarbeitenden der Academic Gateway ist jeden Tag gewährleistet.

Der Empfangsbereich bietet viel Raum, der im stilvollen Holzkubus integrierte Display zeigt den Unterricht (Stundenplan) in voller Grösse.

Viel Raum, viel natürliches Licht und ein schönes Ambiente bietet der zeitlos gestaltete Essbereich.

The lecture hall on Löwenstrasse includes everything that makes sense and is necessary for hybrid lessons; So for a teaching concept that combines classic face-to-face teaching and efficient digital distance learning. The lecture hall has a high technical standard and a top equipped infrastructure. Internet lines, USB ports and sockets on the seats, microphones, cameras, laptops, visualizers and a high-quality sound system ensure that the learners find the time at the Academic Gateway as stimulating and motivating.

University concept from middle school

By pursuing the university education approach, the students of the Academic Gateway get used to the style they expect at the universities during their high school diploma. The teaching of content and communication according to the university approach also allows the exercise classes to be kept small and is an attractive teaching format for the highly qualified teaching staff.

Highlights from everyday school life

One of the highlights of the school year is the annual excursion of the main subject of artistic design. In 2024, our students traveled to Paris for the Mark Rothko exhibition.
